Apply for a certified criminal record check through the RCMP Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services. Fingerprint-based checks are required for international use.

Submit your RCMP check to Global Affairs Canada (GAC) for authentication. As of January 2024, Canada is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, so you can request an apostille directly.

Provincial degrees may need provincial authentication first, then GAC apostille. Check your province's requirements as the process varies.

Collect all remaining documents: passport photos, TEFL certificate, transcripts, and resume. Ensure your passport has more than 6 months validity.

Your Korean employer files for your Visa Issuance Number (VIN) through Korean Immigration.

Visit the Korean Embassy in Ottawa or consulates in Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal to submit your visa application with the VIN.
